Timeless Tales Rare Books, a small, independent, veteran owned, private bookseller, was born out of Shelley and Mayukh’s shared interests and love of browsing through scarce, antiquarian books and cherishing the intoxicating smell of bygone days preserved in the pages of timeless prints. Our early collections of first and signed editions, biographies and memoirs soon expanded to include historical, religious, literature classics, scientific, art and illustrated books. Coming from Calcutta in India, the capital of the British empire and the main publishing hub of that era besides London, Mayukh had a natural addiction to dusty warehouses and vintage bookshops from an early age; his lifelong quest for true gems of literature peaked in the US where he started collecting fine, quality books and started developing his library. Shelley, a former US Army Captain, teamed up to expand the common vision of spreading this unfathomable joy of collecting rare books with the general public. We offer discounts to all military personnel and fellow book dealers. A couple in real life, and having diverse academic backgrounds, we are always on the lookout for rare books covering a diverse range of subjects. We want to share our contagious enthusiasm and infinite joy of holding a piece of history and cherish the printed treasures between the covers!
